We are a start-up committed to developing a groundbreaking DBT-based Harm Reduction app for individuals grappling with alcohol and substance use, as well as their families and therapists. Our app utilizes state-of-the-art AI technology to deliver real-time support, encouragement, and motivation, or tailored distractions when necessary. By harnessing the power of AI, we strive to provide personalized and effective assistance to individuals and families, enabling them to achieve their goals. Our mission is to empower users with innovative tools that transcend conventional approaches, ushering in a new era of revolutionized addiction treatment.

Our development team consists of 2 developers in the US and 10 developers in Bangladesh, specializing in cutting-edge technologies, including AI development. With a strong focus on innovation, we are utilizing Maui for app development, which allows us to create a seamless user experience across different platforms. Additionally, we leverage the power of Azure, specifically Cosmos DB, to build a robust and scalable front and back-end infrastructure. This enables us to incorporate advanced AI algorithms and data analytics into our app, empowering us to deliver personalized and effective solutions for individuals and families seeking support in their journey towards harm reduction.

At the core of our mission is the social impact we aim to achieve. While traditional 12-step programs work for some, the majority of individuals battling addiction often lack viable, secular alternatives. Our goal is to change that paradigm by 1) providing assistance to individuals and families and 2) raising public awareness about Harm Reduction as a viable option.

Zilcho operates as a corporation because Harm Reduction, despite its existence since the 80s, remains relatively unknown to the public beyond opioid addiction. Despite decades of government, academic, and activist efforts, progress (outside of opioids) has been minimal, resulting in ongoing suffering for affected individuals and their families. We believe that innovation is crucial to driving meaningful change.

Our company is dedicated to teaching practical skills to individuals and families while connecting them with therapists who can assist them on their journey. As a small company, a significant portion of our revenue will be allocated to advertising and marketing efforts. By leveraging our app, we aim to make a positive impact on individual families while reshaping perceptions surrounding alcohol and drug addiction.
