Lead and they will follow

Love and relationships are the foundation of happiness and a life worth living. Our program gives friends and family of those suffering from addiction the tools and techniques to cope themselves and lead their loved ones on a path of personal realization.

Family support is the number one factor in addiction recovery.

To nudge your loved one in the right direction, you need the skills to manage your own emotions and stay in control of yourself and your surroundings.

The Program

Zilcho is a comprehensive program that integrates key components of evidence-based therapies such as Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support and educate you as a loved one of someone with addiction. By drawing upon the strengths of each approach, Zilcho offers a multifaceted and holistic approach to teaching you skills and strategies for navigating the challenges of addiction within your relationship.

  1. CRAFT: Zilcho incorporates elements of CRAFT to help you effectively communicate with your family member struggling with addiction. It focuses on enhancing positive reinforcement, setting boundaries, and promoting self-care. The program teaches you skills to reinforce positive behaviors, address enabling behaviors, and develop a supportive environment that encourages your loved one's motivation for change.

  2. Motivational Interviewing (MI): Zilcho integrates MI techniques to help you elicit and strengthen your family member's motivation to change. Through empathetic listening, open-ended questioning, and reflective responses, the program teaches you to support your family member in exploring their ambivalence about addiction and finding their own internal motivations for positive change.

  3. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Zilcho incorporates CBT principles to address the cognitive and behavioral aspects of addiction. The program teaches you to identify and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs related to addiction, develop coping skills to manage stress and emotional triggers, and improve problem-solving abilities. By promoting healthier thinking patterns and providing practical strategies, Zilcho equips you with tools to navigate the complexities of addiction.

  4. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Zilcho integrates DBT techniques to help you manage your own emotions and enhance interpersonal effectiveness. The program teaches skills for mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal communication. By cultivating self-awareness, emotion regulation, and effective interpersonal skills, you can engage in healthier and more balanced relationships with your family member.

Zilcho's integrated approach recognizes that addiction impacts both the individual and you as their loved one. By incorporating elements from CRAFT, MI, CBT, and DBT, the program addresses various dimensions of the addiction experience. It provides you with a comprehensive toolkit to promote positive change, enhance your own well-being, and foster a healthier relationship.
